While going to college he formed a band with his friends and played at local bars. In the early 90’s he headed to Nashville where he handed out demo tapes of his band. A flight attendant passed on his demo to music executive, Harold Shedd of Mercury Records. Shedd went to see Toby perform live and signed him to a deal with the record company. Now Toby Keith is one of America’s favorite country singers with numerous hit records under his belt.
