In 2003 she formed a girl group with two classmates and they landed an audition for American producer, Evan Rogers. Rogers took a liking to Rihanna and invited her back for a second audition with her mother present. By 2005 they had finally completed her demo tape and began to shop it around to the labels. One of those labels was Def Jam where it was heard by Jay Z. He immediately called her in for an audition in front of him and LA Reid and they signed her that night. Since then she’s become a music and fashion icon. Her success and talent is undeniable and it doesn’t seem like she plans on slowing down anytime soon!
