By mid 2000’s he changed his name to Rick Ross and signed a deal with Slip-N-Slide Records. He dropped his debut album Port Of Miami in 2006 receiving commercial success. His album debuted at the top spot of the Billboard 200 album chart, selling over 187 thousand copies during the first week. Since then Ross has remained a chart topping rap artist and launched his own record label, MMG. He’s also done a few acting roles and launched his own line of champagne.
