Hip hop recording artist Maino was born Jermaine Coleman on August 30th, 1973 in Brooklyn, New York. The rapper didn’t start creating rap music til he was already out of school. Due to his new found passion for music, he decided to open his own independent label Hustle Hard Entertainment in 2003. He started releasing a series of mixtapes for the next couple of years. As a result he landed a deal with Universal Records, but left the label in 2007. The following year in 2008 he signed a deal with Atlantic Records and also released his debut single Hi Hater. Since then he’s enjoyed a highly successful career with numerous hit records. He’s also still touring around the world and performing for sold out shows.
