American rap artist Gorilla Zoe was born Alonzo Mathis in the Atlanta, Georgia area on January 26th, 1983.  While growing up he was heavily influenced by the music around him and decided to pursue a career in rap music for himself. He got his first big break when he joined the group Boyz N Da Hood in 2006, taking the place of Jeezy. That same year he also signed a deal with the record labels, Block Entertainment and Bad Boys South. In 2007 he released his debut album Welcome To The Zoo, furthermore catapulting him into success. Since then he’s gone on to enjoy a successful music career and continues to sell out shows around the world.
