While pursuing his music career, he met Eddie F of Heavy D & The Boyz and President of Untouchables Entertainment. Together Donell and Eddie F landed a partnership with LaFace Records. After writing the hit single Think Of You for Usher in 1994, LA Reid and Babyface gave him the go ahead to start working on his debut album. Two years later, Donell released his My Heart album in 1996 which peaked at 30 on the Billboard’s R&B Chart. Since then the singer has enjoyed a very successful music career that’s lasted for the last 20 years.
