Korn is an American metal band from Bakersfield, California that formed in 1993. The bands current line up includes five members; Jonathan Davis, James “Munky” Shaffer, Brian “Head” Welch, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and Ray Luzier. They went down to Huntington Beach where they rented a studio so they could start recording music in 1993. While down their they started performing live at local clubs and hot spots. This lead to them being noticed by an a&r for Epic Records where they also signed a deal to their sub-label, Immortal Records. By the end of 1994 they had released their self titled debut album. Since then they have become one of the most successful metal rock bands of all times while pioneering the way for a new sound to come in.
